||Pierce County Human Services is soliciting applications for Youth Violence Prevention programs. Funding for this grant is obtained exclusively from taxes generated in incorporated Pierce County for criminal justices purposes. Accordingly, the objective for using these funds must be on the prevention or elimination of violent behavior in, among, or toward children and youth. The beneficiaries of this grant must principally be youth who reside in unincorporated Pierce County.

||Beyond the Borders Special Needs Transportation Program
||Pierce County Human Services is soliciting proposals from special needs transportation providers for the delivery of the Beyond the Borders transportation program. Beyond the Borders serves individuals with special transportation needs who live outside of the Pierce Transit service area: seniors sixty-five (65) or older, individuals with disabilities, low-income people, and youth between the ages of twelve (12) and seventeen (17). Beyond the Borders is funded with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities program, the Older Americans' Act (OAA) Title III-B funds and/or other state and local funds. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) contractors are encouraged to submit proposals and consider DBE subcontractors. Contractors shall not be discriminated against on grounds of sex, race, color, age, religion, national origin, disability, or other protected classes.

||The County and the Pierce County Community Development Corporation (CDC) have made available funding to support the development and preservation of affordable housing in Pierce County. Funding under this NOFA can be used to acquire, construct, and/or rehabilitate affordable rental or homeownership housing, and provide operating and maintenance support for existing affordable rental housing.
