Engineering: The project is in the early stages of the preliminary engineering phase. Finalizing the roadway layout, and beginning the storm drainage design. Assessing environmental and geotechnical study needs.
About the Project
Planned improvements to the intersection of 122nd Avenue East / 144th Street East (CRP 5763) are intended to increase efficiency of the intersection and improve safety. Improvements will include the following:
Adding left turn lanes on all approaches.
Right turn lane on southbound 122nd Avenue East.
Install cement concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalks.
Install an enclosed storm drainage system, and water quality treatment and storage facilities.
Install street lighting.
Install a new traffic signal system.
May 2017 to May 2018: Topographic survey work of the existing conditions, produce preliminary construction plans, prepare a cost estimate, and finalize right-of-way plans, and complete the Preliminary Engineering Phase.
June 2018 to 2021: Right-of-way acquisition, environmental permitting, final engineering, and construction of the intersection pending funding availability.
