2012 Open Offices

Withdrawal of Candidacy - The last day to withdraw is Monday, May 21, 2012 by 4:30 p.m. Filing fees are not refundable.

The candidate filing report will be posted in lot draw order on Monday, May 21, 2012.

Voters' Pamphlet Information:

You will be emailed a link for submitting your voters' pamphlet information after your Declaration of Candidacy has been validated.

Your voters' pamphlet information only needs to be submitted once. It will be used in both the Pierce County and State voters' guides.

The deadline for Pierce County candidates (see list below) to submit your voters' pamphlet information is Monday, May 21, 2012 by 4:30 p.m. Materials must be submitted online.

  • County Council Dist. 3
  • County Council Dist. 4
  • County Council Dist. 6

Precinct Committee Officers (PCO's) do not submit pamphlet information. This office is not included in the voters' pamphlet.


Pierce County Voters' Pamphlet Information Guidelines

Statements and biographies exceeding word limits are shortened by deleting full sentences from the end until the limit is reached.


Lot drawings to determine the order on the ballot will take place after the close of filing on Friday, May 18, 2012. All candidates are invited to observe. The lot drawing will commence after the filings have been proofed for accuracy. RCW 29A.36.131

The candidate filing report will be posted in lot draw order on Monday, May 21, 2012.
