The Construction Management Division:
- Manages the construction of new facilities in addition to updating and remodeling existing facilities
- Oversees major building and systems upgrades
- Administers all aspects of project management from initial needs assessments, design & consultant selection, contracting, bidding and negotiations, to construction project management through completion and warranty issue resolution

The Maintenance Management Division:
- Manages preventative maintenance programs for major equipment and building components of County owned facilities
- Completes qualifying remodels for safety, efficiency and improved productivity
- Provides assistance and consulting services to building tenants for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, remodeling and other tasks
- Ensures buildings meet safety, fire and disability code requirements
- Provides ground maintenance
- Manages food services, custodial, elevator maintenance and pest control contracts

Security Management:
- Establishes and maintains security policies and procedures for employees and the public in County facilities
- Processes badging for contractors and non-employees
- Manages security contractors, holding them to high standards of training, responsiveness and accountability

The staff provides specific expertise to other Pierce County Departments, as needed, to maximize workplace comfort, safety and efficiency.
