The mission of Pierce County District Court, as an independent and impartial branch of government, is to promote respect for law, society and individual rights; provide open, accessible and effective forums for dispute resolution; resolve legal matters in a just, efficient and timely manner and assure the dignified and fair treatment of all parties.

Pierce County District Court remains open and committed to providing essential services in a manner that is as safe and responsible as possible.

 

   
  1. Current Court Operations
Court operations have been reduced to help keep the public and our employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.  All persons entering the County-City Building are asked to wear a mask and remain 6ft apart for social distancing.  Masks and hand sanitizer stations are provided at each entrance.  Major touchpoints in the courtrooms, at the counters and offices are being sanitized after contact.
