Welcome to the Pierce County Parks Specialized Recreation Program! We are happy you’re here! Over the past several months, we have spent time creating and modifying fun and engaging programs, based on the Governor’s Safe Start reopening guidelines. Our programs have been offered virtually, in-person, or as a combination of both, depending on what was safe at the time.
We continue to work hard during this challenging time to create programming that will engage, inspire, and connect our participants with each other, and the community as a whole, in the safest way possible.
Some of our highlights include:
Our Specialized Recreation Program received the Pierce County Standing Ovation Award for Vibrant Communities for our Facebook Virtual Programming. The Standing Ovation Award is given to Pierce County Staff who show creativity, innovation, and excellence in their job.
