Department Policy in Response to Governor's Moratorium on Evictions Due to COVID 19 Pandemic

Effective March 18, 2020, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department generally will not be enforcing eviction orders.

Any eviction orders received by the PCSD will be reviewed to determine if the order is based on waste, nuisance or commission of a crime. Such cases will be reviewed on an individual basis, to determine whether to proceed with the eviction.
