1/4/2021 - Due to Gov. Inslee’s extended restrictions, the Lakewood Community Center is closed for all recreation activities through January 11, 2021. 

Adult Pickle Ball Drop-In Program

Each pickleball session is 90 minutes long, with 4 courts, and a maximum of 4 people per court (16 people total). If you want to enroll a team please enroll individually online or by phone for the same session. Pre-registration is required and you will pay $3.00 onsite at the start time of your pre-reserved session. If you have a pickleball membership, pre-registration is still required and you will scan your membership card on site at the time of your pre-reserved session. No drop-in's allowed. Masks are required and players must arrive ready to play. (Locker rooms and showers are not available and spectating is not allowed). Doors will open at assigned playing times only. Waiting in the lobby is not allowed so please remain outside the building until the scheduled start time of your session.

Open Badminton Program

The Badminton program is currently closed during COVID-19 restrictions.

Hosted by the Tacoma Badminton Club, the Badminton program meets September through June on Thursday nights from 7:30 p.m.. to 10 p.m. in the gym. This program is for all ages and badminton players of skill levels from beginning to advanced are welcome to participate. A nominal fee of $4 per person is charged to cover court fees and shuttlecocks. Instruction and rackets are available at no extra charge. For more information call (253) 272-9883.
