Education doesn't end with the school year. Summer is a great time to learn and explore. Our educators coordinate with local park districts to offer experiences that connect kids to our local environment.
PenMet Parks EcoGarden Camp
We’ll explore the outdoors through the park’s different types of gardens. Learn about plants, insects, soil and worms while playing games, making art, creating experiments and reading stories, all while learning about the importance of teamwork and sustainability. Ages 9–12 Taught by Pierce County Environmental Educators, partnering with Pierce County Master Gardeners
Pierce County Parks & Recreation Summer Science SeaCamp
Explore the worlds of the beach and sea in new ways that bring science to life! Campers will take beach explorations, boat trips and outings to environmentally diverse sites. Ages 5–14
