Pierce County’s Parks and Recreation Department would like your help in updating the County’s Regional Trail Plan and identifying priorities for developing new trails in the County. Come and share your ideas at two Public Open House Meetings on:
Monday, February 26, 2018 6:00-7:30 PM Puyallup Public Library, North Room 324 S. Meridian Puyallup, WA 98373
Tuesday, February 27, 2018 6:00-7:30 PM County Annex Building (Public Services Building) 2401 S. 35th St. Tacoma, WA
We provide several different types of trails:
Regional multi-use trails that connect communities together and form the spine of the County trail system, like the Foothills National Recreation Trail.
Community network trails that connect parks to schools and other important community destination points, like the Nathan Chapman Trail.
Looped walking trails inside of County Parks that provide safe places for people to exercise and enjoy nature, like the trails at Chambers Creek Regional Park.
Which type of trails are most important to you? Where do we need more trails? What should we build first?
Help us decide as we work to expand the trail network in Pierce County.
