Request: Construct an approximately 470 sq. ft. boathouse, accessory to an existing single-family residence, reconfigure existing stairs and patios, install a new retaining wall, expand an existing retaining wall, and add a grated overwater platform/ramp. Approximately 390 cy of soils will be excavated to facilitate the work and include replanting of shoreline area, including the boathouse roof. The proposal will occur in an area ranging from approximately 7.5 ft. waterward of the shoreline to 55.5 ft. landward of the shoreline. The site is in the Rural-Residential Shoreline Environment and Rural 10 (R10) zone classification, in the Gig Harbor Peninsula Community Plan area, located at 1136 - 14th Ave. Fox Island, in Smuggler’s Cove on the south side of Hale Passage, in Council District #7.
