Permit Delays Possible

We are receiving a tremendous volume of applications this week as people submit before Feb. 1 to avoid fee increases and building code implementation updates. This has resulted in a processing delay of applications and resubmittals that are not impacted by these changes. Our permit technicians are helping customers aiming to meet the Feb. 1 deadline first and will then address the backlog.

Though there may be a delay in processing your application, your initial submittal date will be used for the purpose of vesting to the 2015 model codes and the payment date will be used for vesting impact fees and sewer connection charges at the 2020 rates.

Because of the number of applications, we also expect the permit review process to take a little longer. Staff will work overtime to continue to provide timely reviews.
