Fresh Look at Pierce County Agriculture

How to Protect Our Farmland? Join the Conversation

An independent team is conducting a new study to find the best ways to protect Pierce County’s remaining commercial agricultural land.

  • Are changes needed in the criteria the County uses to designate land for ARL (Agricultural Resource Lands) zoning?
  • What other steps are needed to conserve commercially viable farmland?
