Public input sought on Chambers Creek Regional Park Master Site Plan update
Pierce County held the second in a series of public meetings on Oct. 5, regarding the Chambers Creek Regional Park Master Site Plan Update. Thank you to all those who attended!
Topics covered at the open house included:
- Updates to the Regional Park Map and Planning Areas Map
- Review of public comments, including initial online survey results
- Proposed changes to recreational amenities and uses
- Alternative design concepts for the South Area
- Reviewing and adjusting parking standards and allocation

We will use your comments, along with other information collected during this planning process, to develop a preferred alternative for the master plan update. Funding for the Master Site Plan Update is provided by Pierce County, with oversight from Pierce County Public Works, Pierce County Parks and Recreation, and representatives from the cities of University Place and Lakewood.
