Small Business Saturday on November 26

Small business is big business in Pierce County! You can help your local community by participating in “Small Business Saturday” on November 26.

Shopping at locally-owned businesses keeps money here in Pierce County! It also helps keep and create local jobs! Did you know that small businesses account for 60% of the jobs in Pierce County? And locally-owned business owners are part of our community – they support local charities, coach little league teams, volunteer in our schools and help define our communities. Local shops in downtown Puyallup, Tacoma, Sumner, Gig Harbor and the other cities, towns and communities throughout the County feature locally made products and unique gifts!  If you are going to shop anyhow – why wouldn’t you buy local?
And after that hard day of shopping, stop at a locally-owned restaurant and enjoy a great meal, then go to a show and see some local talent perform. Thinking big and globally is important. Supporting the small businesses near you is a great way to support the place you live!

Prosthetist Ryan Blanck joined Hanger Clinic in 2013. Born in Olympia, Blanck has known the Puget Sound area since childhood. He oversees the one-of-a kind facility in Gig Harbor, providing what can only be described as a ‘new life’ for amputees who seek help adjusting to the reality of missing a limb.
