Chair Richardson Header

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As I begin my second term on the County Council and continue as Chair, I want to thank everyone who ever came to testify at a meeting, called me with a concern or e-mailed me with questions. I also want to thank those of you who have taken time out of your busy schedules to volunteer or serve on boards, commissions and ad-hoc committees. You’re an inspiration and it's an honor for me to represent the Mighty 6th District. Your commitment, ideas and dedication have helped accomplish a great deal for Pierce County.

Last November the County Council passed the 2017 budget. I’m proud to say this budget strengthens public safety with five more deputies on the streets, adds additional funds to the Drug Enforcement Fund to supplement drug enforcement operations including the delivery of treatment programs and services. And it also supports our economy with funding to foster growth of the aerospace and agricultural sectors. There are many great projects and upgrades happening in the 6th District this year and I look forward to updating you on all of them.

My door is always open so please contact my office with any questions or concerns about your county government. I look forward to all we will accomplish together in 2017!

Sincerely,

Doug signature
