The paper collected in a mobile shredding truck has a much better chance of being recycled into new paper. It doesn't have to go through the curbside collection and sorting process, where bags often break open and the shred becomes confetti that is difficult to capture.
Pierce County began sponsoring shred events earlier this year to help residents who want to both maintain their privacy and recycle the paper.
Three of these popular events remain in 2017. Bring whatever you have in bags or boxes. If the event is very busy, we may limit you to three grocery bags of material. Events are for household material only. Documents from businesses are not accepted.
