Pierce County Ferry Customer:
The Pierce County Ferry will update the credit card processing system used to buy tickets on Monday, July 23. The update will include a new website address: www.tickets.pierceferry.com. All online and Pierce County Ferry app customers will have to re-enter credit card information to complete their first purchase on the updated system.
Why is this happening?
This change follows industry best practices by transitioning full responsibility for the ticket system to the ferry operator, HMS Ferries, Inc. The change makes one party responsible for ticket transactions from start to finish, which is more efficient and provides better customer service.
Why doesn’t my bookmarked web address work anymore?
The website address for online purchases will be www.tickets.pierceferry.com. This is a new URL that will go live July 23. Please update your bookmarks.
Why do I need to re-enter my credit card information?
The credit card processor is being updated to a different system. Your username and password will be transferred to the new system, but you will need to re-enter credit card information during your first purchase on the updated system.
How do I get tickets refunded?
As a result of this change in credit card processing, all ticket refunds will be handled directly by HMS at www.tickets.pierceferry.com or the ferry terminal. We believe this will be easier and quicker for our customers.
Will my pre-purchased ferry ticket still be valid?
Yes. Pre-purchased tickets will remain valid during the transition to the new system.
